Hello, Metro Guy. You’re doing a great job!

Question: By when will the Magenta Line get to Jamia Milia University?

Hi Peter, thanks for your compliment! The elevated section of the Magenta line has been built at JMU (see on google earth) and currently the contractor is focused on building the stations in this section. In all probability the line will be functional in early 2017.

    Dear M.G.,

Thanks for the prediction about the Magenta Line and JMU.

In planning commutes by Metro should I figure on 3 minutes per station stop [the Paris rule of thumb] or more?

    TIA.

Yes, 3 minutes between stops sounds about right. On the Magenta & Pink lines, the new advanced signalling will theoretically allow for a frequency of 90 seconds, but the metro will practically run at a frequency between 100-120 seconds.
