[Pics] Lucknow’s Metro is taking shape!

Here are the first visuals of the Lucknow’s new metro system taking shape. In Sept 2014, Larsen & Toubro had been awarded a Rs. 631 cr contract (Package LKCC 01) to construct the first section of the 22 km north-south corridor following which they began work promptly. 9 months later we can already see the U shaped girders (similar to Delhi’s Airport Express line) being placed to form the viaduct of this corridor.

The above images showcase the North-South corridor which will have a total 22 stations including 18 overhead and 4 underground. The elevated stations will be built at the Airport terminal, Amausi, Transport Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Singaar Nagar, Alambagh, Alambagh ISBT amongst other areas.
