The pre-bid meeting with interested infra companies will be held at 11 am on February 11 2016 and the last date for submission of the tender documents for bidding is 3 pm on March 9. On the same day, the bids will be opened & evaluated to find out the lowest bidder for the line.  Pre-construction activities on this line can be expected to begin as soon as May 2016 with construction taking place after the monsoons in September.

While the last station in the scope of package 1 is Anand Nagar, the line will eventually terminate at the Dahisar East station which will form an interchange with the Dahisar (E) – Andheri (E) line (shown in red above). Construction of that small connection between Anand Nagar and Dahisar (E) is included within the scope of the Dahisar (E) – Andheri (E) line for which the tendering process is currently underway. As a reminder, the foundation stone for both these lines was laid by PM Modi at an event organized on October 11. The DMRC was formally appointed to execute the Dahisar-DN Nagar line in December and was also appointed as the interim-consultant for the Dahisar (E)-Andheri (E) line.
