[Video] Be the 1st to Ride Bangalore’s Underground Metro!

Hat tip to Faisal for sharing the link to this cool new video from Bangalore Metro’s underground section which surfaced on YouTube this weekend! The video offers a first person view (FPV) from a westbound train runs as it runs from the Vidhana Soudha station, stops at Sir M. Visvesvaraya station and proceeds towards Majestic station.

The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) recently gave its approval with certain conditions to safely operate trains on this 4.8 km section between Magadi Road & MG Road, but the BMRCL is yet to formally announce dates for this section’s inauguration. Whenever that happens, I’ll make sure to both tweet and write about it here, so do check back!

Wow man great. You realised me that DMRC is really stupid because Until recently I used to think it is for the security reasons that photography and video recordings are prohibited in Delhi metro.
what more is needed to terrorists when you can show whole of tunnel and its structures in a video aired publicly.

Though I am a big fan of metro rail systems but such videos firstly should never be shot and moreover if shot by metro personnel it should not be broadcasted.

Hi, the ban of photography is enforced by security agencies and not by the DMRC. See Mangu Singh’s interview explaining his take on it here. I really don’t think publicly available videos or photos cause a security concern as there’s nothing unique or new about them. They don’t have any hidden entrances and all people accessing the platform level have to go through security prior to coming down.

        thanks for acknowledging.
But I feel such (above shown) videos and videos showing detailed structures of the station premises should not be published. Security agencies as the one involved with DMRC are right, though Mangu singh also has valid point that everybody has cameras in phones and such prohibition cannot be implemented successfully. However I feel that it is the public which should act on their part. Taking pictures with something you like (metro) is good but broadcasting some (both picture and video) involving the minute details of the station would be stupidity.
