NCRTC Invites Bids for UG Meerut Section of Delhi – Meerut RRTS Line

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) yesterday invited bids from construction firms for the civil construction of Package 8 of the 82.15 km Delhi – Meerut line of the Regional Rapid Transit System.

This 5.68 km long package with 3 stations is the second underground section of the line for which bids have been invited, and 2 of the stations, at Meerut Central and Bhaisal, will also serve the local Meerut Metro system.

The tender notice is not yet available online on NCRTC’s site. Here’s the brief scope of work and bid submission timeline shared by a follower.

Online bids are invited for Package-8, Design and Construction of Tunnels by TBM from near Brahampuri DN Ramp to Begumpul UP Ramp and 3 Under Ground Stations at Meerut Central, Bhaisali & Begumpul by Cut & Cover Method including Architectural Finishing and Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioining of Electrical and Mechanical Systtems including Fire detection & suppression System and Hydraulic systems on Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut Corridor.

• Bid submission: 27 Feb 2020 to 5 May 2020 (up to 1500 Hours)

The line’s construction is being financed through an official development assistance (ODA) loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Here’s the current status of each package –
