Any updates on the ORR line tenders? BMRCL hasn’t said anything about it lately and the bids have been under technical evaluation for a long time. Are they waiting for central government approval?

Nothing yet. I’m keeping a daily tab on it with my sources waiting for financial bids to be opened.

Not sure why technical bid evaluation is taking such a long time. Project doesn’t need central govt’s approval for bids to be opened. Just ADB (chief lender)’s is fine.

That’s odd. Hopefully the bids are opened soon. BMRCL started pre-construction work on the ORR median last week and has removed street lights in many places. So atleast things seem to be moving along.

I’m just concerned that with the bus priority lane now being physically separated from the main carriageway and soon one lane being taken up for metro construction the ORR is gonna be a one lane road :/

ORR construction started? At least that is good news! Finally.

Well, not construction yet. They’ve only started dismantling the street lights, poles and some cabling on the median. But yes, I guess a start.

There is no hurry shown on silk board-kR puram- Airport line. Even the central government is dragging its feet, the current Covid 19 has added fuel. Hope the required push is given immediately, that line will be a game changer for India’s largest cluster of softwares

Hi TMRG… first off, hearty congrats on your blog turning 5! I will go out of my way to promote your site whenever I can.

I noticed that the Koramangala flyover (Eijipura to Madiwala) has been stalled. Any idea if this might be scrapped for a possible metro line?

If they are indeed going about the completion of the flyover in Koramangala, does this kill any possibility of a Metro line ever coming up in Koramangala?

    Would love your thoughts.
