3 Bidders for Delhi – Meerut RRTS’ Roof-Work Package 12B

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) today opened technical bids for the 82.15 km Delhi – Meerut RRTS Line‘s Package 12B to reveal 3 firms have submitted bids to design, supply and erect pre-engineered steel roof structures at 12 elevated stations.

NCRTC had invited bids for this work in 2 lots in September right after Sam India Builtwell emerged as the lowest bidder for Package 12A for similar roof-work at Package 1 and 2’s Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai stations.

For Package 12B, 7 of these 12 stations form a part of the 33 km Package 3 (under construction by Larsen & Toubro) – the ones at Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North, Meerut South, Partapur, Rithani & Shatabdi Nagar. The rest 5 are a part of the 12 km Package 7 (Larsen & Toubro is lowest bidder) and are named Brahmapuri, MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North and Modipuram.

NCRTC’s combined estimate is $8.71 million (Rs 63.79 crore) and they expect the assigned contractor(s) to complete all civil work in 1358 days (3.7 years) after the contracts are awarded.

• Pioneer Fabricators Pvt. Ltd.
• URC Construction Pvt. Ltd.

Lot-1: DM/CN/COR-OF/119 Lot-P12B L1: – Design, Fabrication, Supply and Erection of Pre–Engineered Steel Roof Structure of 6 (Six) Elevated stations viz Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North, Meerut South, MES Colony and Daurli Stations of Delhi – Ghaziabad –Meerut RRTS Corridor.

Lot-2: DM/CN/COR-OF/120 Lot-P12B L2: – Design, Fabrication, Supply and Erection of Pre–Engineered Steel Roof Structure for 6 (Six) Elevated stations viz Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmpuri, Meerut North and Modipuram of Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut RRTS Corridor.

The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder for each package and most likely contractor.

Pioneer Fabricators is currently working on 9 stations of Mumbai Metro’s 18.6 km Line-2A/Yellow Line (Dahisar East – DN Nagar) for which the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) awarded them with a Rs. 33.24 crore contract (Package AC-09) in February 2018.
