Hi TMRG,
I see that this and other few Tenders are for all 4 Corridors of Kanpur(2) and Agra(2) and 4 Depots also, they’ve mentioned “Completion period of the Work 48 months”. Does that mean that UPMRC is serious in planning and constructing all 4 routes in these two cities and not going to abandon the way they did in Lucknow for Line 2 ? There is no update for the Charbagh and Vasant Kunj line till now.
Hi, I found it odd as well. Besides this package, I’ve seen no indication that the 2nd corridors in Kanpur and Agra will be developed. Tender notices for appointing Detailed Design Consultants for either city’s 2nd line are still pending.
They are both entirely elevated corridors, so may actually have a higher chance over Lucknow’s second line which is half underground. We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
You are wrong as DPR for Lucknow Phase1-b was never approved. So, technically they did not abandon. However, DPR for both Corridor of Kanpur and Agra Metro is already approved
When did the tender for Agra metro underground section get invited
Tender notice is pending. First 3 km (Taj Majal – Jama Masjid) of its eastern section is part of the ‘Priority Corridor’, so I’m expecting it to be published very soon.
