4 Bidders for Bhopal Metro’s Track Work Contract BH07

4 firms have submitted bids to supply and install standard gauge tracks for Bhopal Metro Phase 1’s underground, elevated and Subhash Nagar Depot after technical bids for Package BH-07 were opened on Friday.

Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) had invited tenders for this contract financed by European Investment Bank (EIB) in February with a 1274 day (3.49 year) deadline and unknown estimate.

  • Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T)
  • Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL)
  • Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd. (TexRail)
  • Vijay Nirman Company Pvt. Ltd. (VNC)

Brief Scope: Design Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of Ballastless Track of Standard Gauge including Supply of Fastening System including Elevated and Underground sections along with Ballasted Ballastless Track in Depot for Bhopal Metro Rail Project

All 4 bids have now been sent for technical bid evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely supplier.

This is the 4th and final track-related contract for Bhopal’s 27.87 km Phase 1 project. The previous 3 have been clubbed together with Indore Metro’s Phase 1.
