Texmaco – ISC JV Wins Indore Metro’s Track Work Contract IN08

December 1, 2022 Update: Texmaco – ISC JV today received a LOA of contract from MPMRCL for Indore Metro’s tracks with a value of Rs. 258.88 crore.

October 23, 2022 Original Post: Texmaco Rail and Engineering – ISC Projects JV on Saturday was declared as the lowest bidder to supply and install standard gauge tracks (Package IN-08) for Indore Metro’s Phase 1 project.

Tracks from this contract will be installed at the 33.53 km Yellow Line’s Gandhi Nagar Depot, 24.06 km partially under construction elevated section (Indore Airport – Bhawrasla – Railway Station) and 7.48 km underground section (Indore Airport – Bada Ganapati – Railway Station).

Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) had invited tenders for this contract financed by European Investment Bank (EIB) in February with a 1274 day (3.49 year) deadline and unknown estimate.

Technical bids were opened in July to reveal 4 bidders. RVNL and VNC were disqualified as their bids were not compliant with the tender’s conditions.

Scope: Design Supply Installation Testing Commissioning of Ballastless Track of Std Gauge Yellow Line Gandhinagar Bawarshala Bengali Square and Underground from Indore Rly Station to airport Station, Corridor along with Ballasted/Ballastless Track at Depot

MPMRCL’s estimate is unknown to me, so I can’t provide an assessment on the chance of a LOA getting issued to Texmaco-ISC.

This is the 4th and final track-related contract for Indore’s 33.53 km Phase 1 project. The previous 3 have been clubbed together with Bhopal Metro’s Phase 1.
