RBL Launches Ahmedabad Metro’s Steel Girders at CH-0 Circle
Ranjit Buildcon Ltd. (RBL) earlier this month launched two 47 meter long steel composite girders for constructing the viaduct of 28.254 km Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 project.
This major construction milestone at CH-0 circle in Gandhinagar was recorded near the upcoming Infocity metro station on the project’s 6.478 km Package C2 connecting Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) to Gandhinagar’s Sector-1.
The exact location is east of Indroda Circle (view on Google Maps). This feat using girders weighing 680 MT was accomplished by closing a portion of NH-147 over a period of 24 hours.

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) had awarded Ranjit Buildcon with Package C2’s civil work in late-2020 with a contract value of Rs. 417.90 crore.
Besides the viaduct, their scope of work includes 5 elevated stations at Raysan, Randesan, Dholakuva Circle, Infocity, and Sector-1. A small 0.679 km ramp will be built leading to a new depot at Indroda Circle.
