ITD Cem Casts 1st Pier for Bangalore Metro’s Line-3 at Electronic City
Workers from the ITD – ITD India Cem JV today completed casting their first pier for Bangalore Metro’s 19.143 km Line-3 which will connect Bommasandra and RV Road stations under the 73.95 km Phase 2 project.
Piling work to build this pier’s foundation began in August 2017 – a few months after ITD Cementation won Reach-5’s 6.418 km Package-1 (Bommasandra – Hosa Road) in April 2017 for a value of Rs. 485.52 crores. Workers began tying rebar for the first set of piers in November and began shuttering work using casting molds (formwork) in early February 2018.
The pier is located just north of the U-shaped grade separator over Hosur Road near Aisin NTTF’s office in Electronic City –

ITD Cem has taken about 11 months to cast their first pier for this line since receiving the letter of award (LoA) in April 2017. For comparison, IL&FS ECC on Reach-2A (Mysore Road – Pattanagere) took 17 months, Soma Enterprise on Reach-2B (Pattanagere – Challagatta) took 10 months, NCC on Reach-4B (Yelachenahalli – Anjanapura Township) took 9 months, and ITD Cem on Reach-1B (Visvesvaraya Industrial Area Station – Whitefield) took just 7 months.

Very good progress by ITD – ITD India Cem, when compared to phase 1. At least the fear of handing 4 crucial packages to one single company is being put to rest now.

Folks – this weekend the site is going to be migrated to a new hosting plan for speeding up site load speed. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time due to a surge in visitors during peak time which often results in 500 errors, downtime and sluggish site speed.
Hang on. Hopefully this migration will be smooth!

Thank you for the update and good work done by itd cements. Any update on demolition of jayadeva flyover. It was supposed to be start by jan end and mow we are in mid march.. no signs at all… also work in that stretch is very slow when compared to the other contractors

slow progress on RV road to E-City Reach 5 line as compared to Whitefield line. Am I correct?
The delay is also on account that the service road is being widened along the entire hosur road stretch before the actual construction starts.

What is time frame for completion of pile work along Marenahalli road, Jayadeva hospital, BTM layout, BG Road to Gottigere. I’m age 80.Will I be able to travel by Namma Metro on above lines in next 1 or 2 years.
Any new updates on electronic City line.. very slow progress observed from past 2 months.
