RBL Launches Ahmedabad Metro Package 4A’s Final Segment
Ranjit Buildcon (RBL) last week celebrated the launch of their final of approximately 1500 segments for constructing Ahmedabad Metro’s 4.85 km Package 4A connecting Ranip – Motera.
This leg of the 39.26 km Ahmedabad Metro Phase 1 project’s Red Line includes a special open web girder steel bridge at Sabarmati and 5 stations at Ranip, Sabarmati Railway Station, AEC, Sabarmati and Motera.
Ranjit was awarded Package 4A’s construction contract in January 2016 with a tight 30 month deadline for which they’ve taken double the amount of time to execute.
Viaduct work is pending throughout all other packages of Phase 1. The last section to get completed and open up will the Thaltej – Thaltej Gam section. That section was originally part of TPL-CCECC’s scope of work but removed due to land acquisition issues. It was retendered out in 2020 with DRA Infracon starting construction work in January 2021.

I think segment launching work for EW Corridor (except from Thaltej to Thaltej Gam) is now over.
What about NS Corridor? Is it pending somewhere… my guess there must be some work pending around Paldi underpass area.
I need to check EW more closely, but on NS it’s pending between Old High Court and Paldi.
