Maha-Metro’s Brief Scope: Detailed Design Consultancy Services for 6 (Six) Elevated Stations Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagraha, Manpada, Dongripada, Vijay Nagari, Waghbil and Waterfront, of Thane Integral Ring Metro Project.
Thane Metro project is estimated to cost Rs. 10,412.61 crore and is currently awaiting approval from the Central Government’s cabinet.
I expect a DDC to be appointed by year-end. Their role will include, but is not limited to, producing and proposing alternate designs of all civil, architectural, building services, electrical and mechanical (E&M) works.
Back in July 2020, AECOM – SYSTRA – CEG JV emerged as the only bidder for Thane Metro’s General Consultant contract, but I don’t believe a contract was ever awarded.

Why just 6 stations?
They’re likely part of the “Priority Corridor” – basically the first section of the line where work will start and complete.
I think Thane Ring Metro should’ve been build by or they should’ve handed over to Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) or MMRDA but i think it’s too late now.
Is this a regular metro or Metrolite?
Its a regular metro and not metrolite or metroneo.
