The results from these 4 sub-soil investigation contracts will help to properly design the line’s structures (viaduct & stations). The reports will be included within the civil construction tender documents to help infrastructure companies make more informed financial bids and use appropriate machinery, methods & technology during construction.

Bangalore Metro’s Phase 3 was on the drawing board since 2015 with 105.55 km of routes initially being explored, and BMRCL in 2020 narrowed down to building just these two lines. The project has been approved by Karnataka’s state government and is currently awaiting the Central Government cabinet’s approval.

I wonder why most of the area outside like vidyaranyapura and Yalahanka which is heavily populated not considered for metro line. The existing line is more then 8 km away. There is no bus facilities in these areas from metro. JP nagar Jayanagar already have multiple metro station.

I believe it’s because they want to develop underdeveloped and rise the land prices. As most of residential areas land are already acquired they have no use to greedy people.
