OHE Maintenance Vehicle Spotted at Chennai Metro’s Alandur Station

10 days ago, the Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) kicked off trial runs on the Little Mount – OTA section of the Chennai Metro’s Washermenpet-Airport line. Besides running trains and inspecting their interaction with the track, viaduct & station structure, the CMRL is also fine tuning all components of the system including signalling & telecommunications and overhead electrical (OHE) systems.

Recently a maintenance vehicle with a crew working on the line’s Alandur station was spotted by photographer Vinoth Thambidurai from the nearby St. Thomas Mount hillock. More such cool images featuring other nearby stations can be viewed here.
