[Pics] CMRS Begins Inspection of Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line

This morning, Shailesh Kumar Pathak – the appointed Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety and his team of 5 other officials from the Indian Railways’ northern Circle started a 3-day final safety inspection of the 12.64 km Botanical Garden – Kalkaji Mandir section of Delhi Metro’s new 38.23 km Magenta Line (Line-8).

This visual inspection of the Magenta Line’s is the 6th time an inspection is being held for commissioning a portion of the 162.5 km Phase 3 project and includes its primarily elevated eastern section with 9 stations at Kalkaji Mandir, Okhla NSIC, Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Milia Islamia, Okhla Vihar, Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj, Okhla Bird Sanctuary and Botanical Garden. While Kalkaji Mandir is underground, all other stations are elevated – see images of many stations getting ready here.

The CMRS today inspected the Kalkaji Mandir – Jasola Vihar section’s down-line tunnel, viaduct and 6 stations en-route. Here’s a detailed schedule –

The CMRS’ team will include today’s observations in their final report which is expected to be submitted to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) by the end of this week. That report will include train operation suggestions, any necessary infrastructure corrections & completions prior to starting commercial operations, and whether an approval or conditional-approval has been granted or not.

    Dimaagh ka dahi karke rakhdia hai dmrc walo ne. Sala ek kaam time pe ni hota Inka. Worst psu ever.
    August 2016 me trial run hua tha Dec 2016 me start karne ka socha tha in gadho ne. Fir March gaya fir may fir June fir September fir October. Finally November ka Aur ab 15th Nov tak bhi Inka start ni hopaya.
    Daily public sarita vihar kalindi kunj ke jam me fanske marri hai. But inko sharam nahi aake deti.
