4 Bidders for Indore Metro’s Track Work Contract IN08

4 firms have submitted bids to supply and install standard gauge tracks for Indore Metro’s Phase 1 project after technical bids for system Package IN-08 were opened on Tuesday.

Tracks from this contract will be installed at the 33.53 km Yellow Line’s Gandhi Nagar Depot, 24.06 km partially under construction elevated section (Indore Airport – Bhawrasla – Railway Station) and 7.48 km underground section (Indore Airport – Bada Ganapati – Railway Station).

Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) had invited tenders for this contract financed by European Investment Bank (EIB) in February with a 1274 day (3.49 year) deadline and Rs. 238.69 crore estimate.

• Vijay Nirman Company Pvt. Ltd. (VNC)

Scope: Design Supply Installation Testing Commissioning of Ballastless Track of Std Gauge Yellow Line Gandhinagar Bawarshala Bengali Square and Underground from Indore Rly Station to airport Station, Corridor along with Ballasted/Ballastless Track at Depot

All 4 bids have now been sent for technical bid evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely supplier.

The same 4 bidders had last week submitted bids for Bhopal Metro’s track-work contract BH-07

This is the 4th and final track-related contract for Indore’s 33.53 km Phase 1 project. The previous 3 have been clubbed together with Bhopal Metro’s Phase 1.
