ETA Awarded Delhi Metro Line-8’s E&M, ECS & TVS Contract DE-09
ETA Engineering – Polycab India JV this week was awarded a Rs. 263.44 crore contract to install the electrical and mechanical system, environment control system and tunnel ventilation system at 6 underground stations of Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line (Line-8).
In Delhi Metro’s Phase 4, the city’s Magenta Line is being extended by 28.92 km from Janakpuri West – RK Ashram extension through a combination of viaducts and underground tunnels.
The 6 stations within package DE-09’s scope are being constructed by Afcons Infrastructure in civil Package DC-05 at Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Pulbangash (interchange with Red Line), Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim & Ramakrishna Ashram Marg (interchange with Blue Line).
DMRC had invited tenders for this contract DE-09, funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in June 2022 with a 1081 days (2.95 year) deadline and unknown estimate. Technical bids were opened in September 2022 and financial bids in January 2023.
Final Contract Value: Rs. 263,44,04,600.65
Brief Scope: Design Verification, Detail Engineering, SITC of Electrical and Mechanical System, DG Sets, Environment Control System, Tunnel Ventilation System and Building Management System for 6 Underground Stations of Line-8 Ext. Corridor of Phase-IV of MRTS.
On February 15, ETA was also awarded a similar ECS & TVS contract for Delhi Metro’s 23.622 km Silver Line (Line-10). I had written about it here when financial bids were opened in January.
