Ranjit Casts Surat Metro Line-1 Package CS4’s 1st Pier

Ranjit Buildcon Ltd. (RBL) this Saturday poured concrete to cast their first pier for 4.15 km Sarthana – North Ramp (Package CS4) of the 41.93 km Surat Metro Phase 1 project.

Package CS-4 is the 4th and final section of Surat’s 22.77 km Line-1 which will connect Sarthana – Dream City via 20 stations. Its viaduct will run through 4 elevated stations at Sarthana, Nature Park, Varaccha Chopati Garden and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Kalakunj in the north-east part of the city.

Ranjit had won Package CS4’s contract in July 2022 after placing a bid of Rs. 384.47 crore. Their team started pile load testing works in January 2023 between Varaccha Chopati Garden and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Kalakunj, and then moved to piling works – the first step of the construction process – at this same site in March.

With this development, civil construction is now well underway and visible on Surat’s 22.77 km Line-1 with pier & viaduct work taking place on either end by Ranjit Buildcon (Packages CS1 & CS4) and tunneling works in the middle (CS2 by Gulermak-Sam & CS3 by J Kumar Infra).
