SYSTRA Wins Kochi Metro Phase 2’s Electrification DDC Contract
SYSTRA MVA Consulting on Tuesday was declared as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract of Kochi Metro Phase 2‘s Third Rail electrification system.
This consultancy contract by Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) is the fourth significant pre-construction contract for Kochi’s Phase 2 which will feature a 11.2 km new elevated corridor, named Pink Line, with 11 stations connecting JLN Stadium – Kakkanad – Infopark (Smart City).
KMRL had invited tenders for it in January 2023 with an unknown estimate and expects the assigned DDC to be onboard for 1080 days (2.95 years).
