Ceigall – SAM JV Wins Jaipur Metro Phase 2’s First Civil Contract 2C-01
Ceigall India Ltd. (CIL) – Sam India Builtwell JV on Friday was declared as the lowest bidder for the first construction contract of Jaipur Metro Phase 2 project connecting Todi Mod and Prahaladpura via 36 stations.
Ceigall India holds a 74 percent stake in the joint-venture with SAM India Builtwell holding the remaining 26 percent.
Jaipur Metro’s Phase 2 project involves construction of a new 42.80 km long Orange Line (Line-2) with a north-south orientation at an estimated cost of Rs. 12,260 crore. The project with 34 elevated and 2 underground stations at Jaipur Airport and Sanganer will be executed by Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation (RMRC) – earlier known as Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC).
The Orange Line’s first civil package 2C-01 involves the construction of a 12 km elevated viaduct along Tonk Road, depot-line and 10 elevated between Prahladpura and Pinjrapole Gaushala on the south-side of the line.
RMRC had invited bids for package 2C-01’s construction in October 2025 with a Rs. 1145.14 crore estimate and 34 month deadline. Technical bids were opened in December to reveal 13 bidders – all of whom qualified to the next round.

The 10 stations within this package will be built at Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate and Pinjrapole Gaushala.

Ceigall India – Sam India JV’s bid of Rs. 918.04 crore was 19.83% lower than JMRC’s estimate, so a contract should be awarded to them in the coming months as most likely this section (priority corridor) will be funded by local and state government sources.
Jaipur Metro’s Phase 2 was approved by the Central Government’s Public Investment Board (PIB) in December 2025 and is currently awaiting cabinet approval. Its Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by RITES in the first half of 2025, and in the past has undergone several revisions by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Egis Rail – Feedback Infra JV (which ended in a legal battle).
Jaipur’s new Orange Line will be connected to the operational Pink Line (Line-1) of Phase 1 via a foot overbridge at Jaipur Junction Railway Station from Khasa Kothi Station. Interestingly, a spur line (seen in orange in the map above) will also be constructed to connect Orange Line’s Government Hostel Station and Pink Line’s Chandpole stations.

19% low means quality is going to be too low looks like now metro project are also be affected like nhai road project
They will have to invite & complete the tender process of all the remaining 6-7 packages simultaneously by mid 2026 in order to complete it’s entire construction before 2031 otherwise project will be delayed & govt will inaugurate it on small stretch in low density population of south jaipur between Prahladpura to Pinjarapol gaushala…Even govt will try to inaugurate this strech just before 2028 assembly elections…they should try to construct as much as possible length of entire corridor before starting operations otherwise scenes would be same as of Patna, Indore where they started operations on 4 – 6 km stretches & now unable to attract even 500 commuters daily…same is happening in Agra & bhopal metro…
