Like other Phase 2 packages, CMRL’s estimate for this is unknown, so I can’t provide an assessment on how IRCON’s bid is placed and what the next steps look like.
This is Line-4’s second major systems package after the rolling stock tender (Package ARE03) which received 3 bids from Alstom, BEML & Titagarh in September. I hear that tender was scrapped last week and am awaiting confirmation.

I have strong reservations on this company’s work quality high time,L1 is discontinued!
Hey TMRG, quick question. So the red line and orange line run combined for a certain distance right? Will there be separate platforms for trains on both the lines, or will some other arrangement be made to differentiate between them?
Well, it’s recently said that.. this will be the longest strech with double deck platforms, so the setup is same. If you have been to Bangalore the majestic metro is a classic example, for -1 Floor and -2 Floor for the other, in this case.. it’s Flying up !
That sounds inasanely cool. Can’t wait to see what it looks like in real life
All five stations which are common to both the lines are double decked similar to alandur station presently. It’ll have 4 platforms
