NCRTC Invites Bids for Outer Meerut Section of Delhi – Meerut RRTS

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) earlier this month invited bids from construction firms for the civil construction of Package 7 of the 82.15 km Delhi – Meerut line of the Regional Rapid Transit System.

This roughly 12 km elevated package with 5 stations is the penultimate civil package of the entire Delhi – Meerut line for which bids have been invited. It consists of 2 disjointed parts on either side of Meerut city and is connected by the underground Package 8 for which bidding is underway.

  1. Northern end of Shatabdi Nagar to Brahampuri DN Ramp with 1 station at Brahmapuri (approx 2 kms)
  2. Begumpul UP Ramp to Modipuram with 4 stations at MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North and Modipuram (approx 10 kms)

Package 7: Shatabdi Nagar – Brahmapuri DN Ramp and Begumpul Ramp – Modipuram sections – view Delhi – Meerut RRTS info & full map

4 out of 5 stations on this package – the ones at Brahmapuri, MES Colony, Daurli and Meerut North – will exclusively serve Meerut’s local metro system.

The line’s construction is being financed through an official development assistance (ODA) loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Here’s the current status of each package –
