No benefits for Southern Suburbs people. It will take another 10 or more years to come beyond Airport to Kilambakkam or Irubuliyur Line. Still, govt is in confusion regarding Airport -Kilambakkam line, due to over bridges in these stretches. It is still in DPR stage, no improvement too. In Dinamalar paper Chennai Edition they mentioned its sorry stage of its project!!! So, no use of reading your metro rail news.!!! Perhaps, unless if CMRL, start its project before elections come true.Sorry!!!!

True Sir! The speed at which the road bridges are being constructed, Metro may take more than a Decade unlike New Delhi. No coordination.
The line upto Airport should have been extended upto Kilambakkam before construction of Pallavaram Flyover. This shows how intelligent are the engineers of the state dept. & politicians.
      Sad state of affairs

I was suggesting CMRL to connect metro line from Velachery to St.Thomas Mount and another one connecting Tiruvanmiyur, it will serve I. T employee and the public, more over there is plenty of vacant land for expansion.
