Kalpataru’s bid of Rs. 279.26 crore was well below DMRC’s estimate of Rs. Rs. 359.78 crore, so a contract should be awarded in the coming weeks.

This package is just one of the many electrification-related packages in Phase 4 – see a list of all packages and their contractors / status over here.

Back in April 2022, Siemens was awarded a similar contract for the electrification work on the Magenta Line’s 2.03 km underground Package DC-06 between Janakpuri West and Krishna Park Extension. That section is in an advanced stage of completion with track-work starting in September.
