4 Bidders for Delhi Metro Golden Line’s Track Work Contract DT-10R
Four firms have submitted bids to install ballastless standard gauge tracks on Delhi Metro’s 23.622 km Golden Line (Line-10) after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) opened technical bids on Tuesday.
Delhi’s new Golden Line will connect Aerocity – Tughlakabad via 16 stations. Its civil construction in the 112.32 km Delhi Metro Phase 4 project is currently underway via 3 underground packages (DC-07 by Afcons, DC-08 by J Kumar & DC-09 by L&T) and 1 elevated package DC-04 by YFC Projects.
DMRC plans to operate 13 train-sets of 6 coaches from Alstom Transport on the Golden Line’s tracks – see train design.
DMRC had originally invited bids for track work Package DC-10 in July 2023, but abruptly cancelled it in August without offering a reason. Bids were re-invited in September 2024 under DT-10R with a 1080 day deadline (2.95 years). This contract will be financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
DT-10R’s Bidders
- Apurvakriti Infrastrucutre Pvt. Ltd.
- Paras Railtech Pvt. Ltd.
- Rahee Infratech Ltd.
- Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd.
DMRC’s Brief Scope: Installation, testing and commissioning of ballastless track including supply of MSS and Buffer Stop for Line-10 (Aerocity to Tughlakabad) (ch. -760m to ch. 23286m).

All 4 bids have now been sent for technical evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.
DMRC’s pace of awarding system contracts has been terribly slow for the Golden Line, and I see commercial operations on it starting no sooner than mid-2027 because of how construction is progressing.

- DT-07: UIC-60 turnouts and scissor cross-overs – awarded to Voestalpine VAE VKN India in August 2022 (see details)
- DT-09: Track fastening – Awarded to Patil Rail Infrastructure (PRIPL) in January 2024 (see details)
- DT-10R: Ballastless track work – 4 bids received in December 2024 (this post!)
- DT-16: Ballastless/Ballasted track in Sarita Vihar Depot for augmentation of additional maintenance facilities – awarded to Pee Pee Mandal Projects (see details)

The ongoing work is too slow between khanpur T point to Devli Road due land issue by shop owners on the road.
This metro phase 4 line is already delayed due to Covid 1 and 2 now these small issues have raised another delayed.
There are political pressure on the metro department because these shop owners are known of many senior leaders of current government.
God knows when this will start
No need to worry, if Texmaco gets this project then the train will start running very soon.
