DMRC Invites Bids for Delhi Metro’s Packages DC-10B-R & DC-11
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday invited bids for two significant station architectural finishing & roof-work related packages of the Delhi Metro’s 65.1 km Phase 4 project.
Both packages, DC-10B-R & DC-11, will be funded through Delhi & central governments’ funds, not JICA, and consist of a total of 16 elevated stations. Besides installing pre-engineered building (PEB) roof structures, the appointed contractor(s) will have to construct the external façade, build water supply, sanitary, drainage installations and perform site development.
Package DC-10B-R with 8 stations is a re-tender of DC-10, which comprised of 15 stations on the Magenta Line’s 28.92 km extension and fetched a single bid from Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon. DMRC then split the package up into two, and re-invited bids for the southern-most 7 stations through Package DC-10A-R on December 28.
In DC-10B-R, Madhuban Chowk, Prashant Vihar and North Pitampura stations are under construction by CCECC – KEC JV (DC-01), Haiderpur Badli-Mor was built by J Kumar Infraprojects in Delhi Metro Phase 3’s Package CC-02, while Bhalaswa, Majlis Park, Azadpur & Ashok Vihar stations are under construction by Gulermak – Sam (DC-03R).
Brief Scope: Architectural Finishing Works Including Design, Fabrication, Supply, Erection & Roof sheeting of Prefabricated Steel Roof Portal Pre- Engineered Building (PEB) Structures & Foot Over Bridge (FOB) including Design & Construction (Substructure & Superstructure) & necessary changes in existing station for connection of FOB, External facade, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation, Drainage, Site development works at Eight Elevated Stations namely Madhuban Chowk, Prashant Vihar, North Pitampura, Haiderpur Badli Mor (over existing Line-2 station), Bhalaswa, Majlis Park, Azadpur & Ashok Vihar on Janakpuri West to R.K.Ashram Corridor (Extn. of Line-8) of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS.

- Completion Period: 24 months
- Pre-Bid Meeting: 07.01.2021 at 1100 hrs
- Bid Submission End Date: 09.02.2021 at 1500 hrs
- Technical Bid Opening Date: 10.02.2021 at 1500 hrs
Package DC-11 also with 8 stations is for the Pink Line’s 12.098 km extension’s stations between Maujpur and Majlis Park, which is under construction by Longjian – KEC JV.

How many DC-type packages are planned to be awarded?
Supposed to be at least 26 of them.
DC-01 to DC-04 are the main elevated civil packages
DC-05 to DC-09 are the main underground civil packages
DC-10, DC-11 and next 2-4 will be for arch finishing (like the one this post covers)

Remains to be seen what the ones from DC-11 to DC-24 relate to and if there will be additional ones beyond 26. In Phase 3, they went all the way to CC-139!
